Family Faith Formation for Preschool to High School
We believe parents and families play the most important role in a child's faith formation. Parents are a child's first and most important teachers of the faith. Our formation ministries call families to gather in prayer and faith, sharing in a regular and intentional way. The more time families spend learning and praying together, the more children will come to know and love Jesus, and that love will be reflected in our families, in our lives, and in the world around us.
Interested in our faith formation program for your family? We would love to have you join us! Whether joining faith formation classes for the first time or returning after being away for a time, you and your family are always welcome! Registration forms are usually posted to this website in late summer. The regular faith formation year starts in the fall, but we accept new students at any time of the year.

St. Anthony & St. Pius X Youth Events
In addition to regular faith formation on Wednesday evenings, middle and high school students also have the opportunity to participate in many fun activities in our parish and beyond!
Middle school events include Camp Survive, Teen Nights, Totus Tuus, Duluth Lock-in, and more.
High school events include TOBIT retreat, Confirmation retreats (for students making their Confirmation), Teen Nights, Totus Tuus, and more.Check out the Special Events tab for the upcoming events for youth!

Sacraments of InitiationThe sacraments received by children in the Catholic Church are Baptism, First Eucharist (Communion), Reconciliation (Confession), and Confirmation.
Baptisms are generally done shortly after birth, Eucharist and Confession in the 2nd grade year, and Confirmation in the 11th grade year. These timelines are flexible though, so if your child has missed one or more sacraments, never fear, it is not too late.

Summer Lock-InCome and enjoy a fun night in our updated youth room at St. Anthony's! Pizza, games, movies, and more. We will begin at 4pm and wrap up about 7pm.

Camp Survive is a Youth Ministry event for students entering grades 7th to 9th in the fall, hosted by the Diocese of Duluth at Big Sandy Camp. Amanda is available to help transport students! Registration for campers needs to be done on the diocese website. To sign up, click the button below and register for WEEK 2.

Valleyfair
This year we will be taking a summer trip to Valleyfair in Shakopee. Details will depend on the number of students signed up. We are hoping to make it a day trip, leaving early and returning late that day. Stay tuned for more information as we get closer!

Interested in Volunteering?We are always happy to have more volunteers to help us make our program a success. There are a variety of ways to volunteer. We need catechists, substitute catechists, hosts for the Totus Tuus team, bakers for the bake sale, and more! If you would like to volunteer, talk to Amanda about the current needs - [email protected]
Any volunteers who will be working with children in any capacity need a background check and to take the Safe Environment training through the Diocese of Duluth. Check out the Safe Environment tab for more information and for a link to the training and background check.

Safe Environment
If people are to worship, study or celebrate together in the Catholic Community, they must do so in a safe environment. In their Charter for the Protection of Children and Young People, the United States Catholic Bishops recognized past failures in this regard and pledged themselves to protect the Faithful in the future.
